Andy Brings, born Andreas Brings on June 10, 1971, is a German musician, producer, and filmmaker. He is best known as the guitarist for the thrash metal band Sodom in the early 1990s.
Brings has worked on numerous musical endeavours during his career, both solo and with bands and he has established a reputation as a producer.
While still in school, Brings started playing music and making fanzines while playing guitar in several local bands. Despite his early endeavours, his professional career didn’t begin until he joined Sodom in 1991.
Brings joined the group while still a high school student and contributed to their music up until 1994, when he quit as a result of conflicts within the group.
Brings split from Sodom in 1997 and afterwards started his own band, “The Traceelords.” The band eventually grew from its beginnings as a solo endeavour, which included the publishing of a solo song on a rock-hard sampler. They split up in 2006 after three albums were published.

Brings is renowned for his political activity as well. He put his name forward as a candidate for the Die PARTEI party to be the mayor of Mülheim ad Ruhr in 2020.
