Sedlaczek is the eldest daughter of actor Sven Martinek, and she grew up in Berlin with her mother. She didn’t meet her father until she was 16 years old. She has six half-brothers and sisters.

Sedlaczek graduated from Anna Freud High School in 2005 with a high school diploma. She then spent a year in Sri Lanka teaching English to children.

From 2007 to 2009, she studied fashion journalism and media communication at the AMD Academy of Fashion & Design in Berlin.

She also interned at the magazine Superillu during this time. Following her education in fashion journalism, Sedlaczek began an internship at RTL.

Sedlaczek decided to study political and administrative sciences at the Open University of Hagen in 2009, while simultaneously receiving moderator training from the Berlin ZIV Institute.

Sedlaczek began her career in 2010 as a reporter and news anchor for numerous regional Berlin and Brandenburg broadcasters. Later that year, she beat out 2,700 other applications to become a sports presenter on Sky’s pay-TV network.

Sedlaczek has been a Sky field reporter since 2011, covering events such as the Bundesliga, 2nd Bundesliga, and DFB Cup. From 2011 to 2014, she co-hosted the Bundesliga matchday preview show “My Stadium” with Ulli Potofski.

Sedlaczek has hosted a variety of sports and events, including the Ladies German Open in golf and the German Beach Volleyball Championships, in addition to her work on Sky.

She has also worked as a reporter for the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, as well as a broadcaster for the Bundesliga on Saturdays.
