Born on September 22, 1904, Erzum was a key figure in the creation of the All-German Bloc/League of Expellees and Deprived of Rights (GB/BHE).
He also served on the Landtag of Bavaria from 1954 to 1958, representing the interests of the party he co-founded.
Following the disintegration of the GB/BHE, Erzum joined the Christian Social Union of Bavaria (CSU), where he continued his political career under a new banner. His passion and commitment to the CSU landed him the position of Mayor of Leutershausen, which he served from 1962 until 1965.
Egon Erzum’s political career reflected his desire to serve the people and advocate for their rights. Within the CSU, he continued to strive for the betterment of Bavaria, contributing to the region’s general growth and advancement.
