Eazy E’s Cause Of Death; Full Details

Eazy-E’s legacy lives on through his music and the impact he had on hip-hop culture. He will always be remembered as a pioneer and an influential figure in the history of rap music.

In today’s article, we take a look at his life as we find out more about his cause of death and how it all happened.

Eazy E’s Biography

Eric Lynn Wright, better known by his stage name Eazy-E, was an American rapper and record executive who revolutionized West Coast rap and popularized gangsta rap.

Eazy-E was born on September 7, 1964, in Compton, California, in a neighbourhood noted for its high crime rates and gang culture. His father worked as a postal worker, while his mother was a school administrator.

Eazy-E dropped out of high school in the tenth grade but went on to earn a GED. He relied on drug sales for a living and introduced his relative to the illegal trade as well. However, after the terrible death of his cousin, Eazy-E felt that he could make a better livelihood in the burgeoning Los Angeles hip-hop scene.

Eazy-E launched Ruthless Records in 1987, which went on to produce some of the most influential rap songs of all time.

With regular collaborations with Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, Eazy-E launched a brief solo career before joining Ice Cube and Dr. Dre to establish N.W.A, or Niggaz Wit Attitudes, the following year.

Their debut studio album, “Straight Outta Compton,” released in 1988, sparked outrage but is today regarded as one of the best and most important albums of all time.

The success of N.W.A was short-lived, owing mostly to financial disagreements. Eazy-E became entangled in bitter feuds with Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, who had left the group to pursue solo careers.

Despite maintaining his solo career and recording two EPs, Eazy-E was more influential behind the scenes, signing and marketing Bone Thugs-n-Harmony from 1993 to 1994.

Eazy-E’s life was tragically cut short by HIV/AIDS-related disease. He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles on February 24, 1995, with a severe cough and was later diagnosed with HIV/AIDS.

On March 16, 1995, he made public his sickness. On March 26, 1995, only a month after his diagnosis, Eazy-E died of AIDS-induced pneumonia at the age of 30 (though sources at the time indicated he was 31 due to an inaccurate date of birth).

Eazy-E’s contributions to rap music and influence in popularising gangsta rap are incalculable. He pioneered the way for artists to use music and storytelling to depict the reality of inner-city living.

Even in his brief life, Eazy-E, dubbed the “Godfather of Gangsta Rap,” had an everlasting influence on the genre. On April 7, 1995, he was laid to rest in Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California.
