Eckart von Hirschhausen was born on August 25 , 1967 in Frankfurt am Main . He is a German doctor, television presenter, cabaret artist, comedian, web video producer, actor, television producer, science journalist and writer. Eckart von Hirschhausen comes from the German-Baltic Hirschhausen family of scholars.
He is the third of four children and his parents are the chemist Heinrich von Hirschhausen and his wife Ingeborg, née Winter. When Eckart von Hirschhausen grew up with his siblings in the Berlin district of Zehlendorf after his dad had secured a job at the Technical University of Berlin.
Eckart von Hirschhausen was known to have passed his high school diploma at the Schadow-Gymnasium in December 1985. Eckart von Hirschhausen studied He studied medicine at the Free University of Berlin, the University of Heidelberg and the Royal Free Hospital in London with a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation.
He worked as an intern at the Meyriez District Hospital of the University of Bern and at the Baragwanath Hospital of the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg / South Africa from 1992 to 1993.
From 1993 to 1994, he also worked in child neurology at the Free University of Berlin. Subsequently, he joined the University of Heidelberg Konrad Meßmer to receive his doctorate.
Eckart von Hirschhausen has been teaching at the Department of Medicine at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen since 2008 and in January 2022, he was appointed honorary professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the Philipps University of Marburg after he had given several lectures in medical teaching in previous years.
