Cosmin Olăroiu was born on June 10, 1969, and he can be described as a Romanian professional football manager and former footballer in charge of UAE Pro League Sharjah FC. In 2006, he was able to guide FCSB to the Romanian League title and Romanian Supercup.

In the summer of 2002, Cosmin Olăroiu signed a deal with Steaua București but unfortunately, he laid down his tools after leading the team in only seven league games.
His reason was that he did not get support from the players as well as the board of the team.
Cosmin Olăroiu made a return to Național București as its General manager. He was however confirmed as the club’s head coach in 2003 after Walter Zenga had left.
Later in 2004, he joined Politehnica Timişoara and led the team to place fourth but he was sacked by the club’s owner Marian Iancu in November 2005.
