Claudia Koreck was born in Traunstein, Germany, on May 28, 1986. She is a dynamic singer-songwriter with a unique voice that can switch between German, English, and the Bavarian accent with ease. Her musical career started when she was twelve years old, and when she won prizes in the Berlin Festival’s “Meeting Young Music Scene” competition in 2002 and 2003, people began to notice her potential right away.
Early Life
Koreck was raised in Traunstein and then moved to Hufschlag, where her early musical education set the groundwork for her success going forward. Her main focus was on guitar playing, and she developed her art. Her big break came in 2007 when she sang “Fliang” (Flying) on radio station Bayern 3.
Career
Her first album, also called “Fliang,” was published on August 17, 2007, and it peaked at number one on the Bavarian best-selling albums list and at number fifteen on the German music charts. Koreck became a major player in the music industry because of this early success. She was notably also a part of the Menschskinder project, which demonstrated her dedication to significant musical partnerships.
Koreck’s creative horizons were broadened when she wrote the theme song, “s’ewige Lem,” for Joseph Vilsmaier’s 2008 film version of Brandner Kaspar’s narrative. Her abilities were subsequently showcased on a national level in 2009 when, with the song “I wui das du woaßt,” she represented Bavaria in Stefan Raab’s Federal Vision Song Contest, placing a respectable 10th. Her second studio album, “Barfuaß um die Welt,” was released in the same year.
Koreck’s ability to engage a wide range of listeners was demonstrated in 2011 when she was given the exceptional opportunity to open for the Eagles during their concerts in Germany. She also provided the voice for the Disney Junior song “LaLeLu” in 2011, demonstrating her ability to work in a variety of musical settings.

Koreck proved she was a talented songwriter in 2020 when she and Gunnar Graewert co-wrote “To Better Times,” the official Star Hour song for 2021. With an impressive roster of performers, the cooperation shot to the top of the GfK charts in Bavaria for four weeks running.
Another significant moment in Koreck’s career came in 2021 when she recorded a rendition of Nena’s “Somehow, somewhere, sometime” for the opening segment of the show “Der Bergdoktor,” which was the first episode of the 14th season. On January 23, 2021, Koreck’s version of the episode, “Made from Courage,” shot to the top of the iTunes rankings following its airing on January 14, 2021.
