Christian Keller is a former German swimmer who was born on August 3, 1972, in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia. His area of focus and expertise with respect to swimming was the medley and freestyle. It must be stated on record that starting from 1992, Christian Keller competed in four consecutive Summer Olympics; representing Germany.
During his active years as a swimmer, Christian Keller is said to have won a lot of awards. He was a member of the club known as Sportgemeinschaft Duisburg.
Christian Keller won the bronze medal in the 4×200-meter medley at the 1996 Olympic Games. He also competed in the 4×200-meter freestyle at the 1994 and 2003 World Championships and he won the Bronze medal on both occasions.
At the World Championship in Palma in 1993, Christian Keller competed in the 200-meter medley, 200-meter butterfly as well as the 4×200-meter freestyle. He won the gold medal in the 200-meter medley, the silver medal in the 200-meter butterfly and the silver medal in the 4×200-meter freestyle.
It must be noted that Christian Keller also competed in the 200-meter medley as well as the 400-meter medley at the 1997 world championship that was held in Gothenburg. He won the silver medal in the 200-meter medley and a bronze medal in the 400-meter medley.
