Carla Hinrichs is a German climate protection activist who was born on February 7, 1997, in Bremen, Germany.
She became very popular as the Spokeswoman for the Climate Alliance Last Generation. While growing up and as a school girl, Carla Hinrichs got herself involved with the activities of Amnesty International and it is interesting to note that after completion of high school, she wanted to become a judge.
This was after she had had an internship at the Bremen District Court. Carla Hinrichs got admission to the University of Bremen University of Bremen in 2015 to read law.
She later moved to Berlin but before the start of the 2021/22 winter semester and before the first legal state examination, Carla Hinrichs dropped out of law school.
Due to her involvement in activities with respect to environmental protection, she founded the Alliance Last Generation with other people in 2021.
Alliance Last Generation has been very active and has organized several activities. With the passage of time, Carla Hinrichs became a fundraiser-backed, full-time activist and a press officer for Alliance Last Generation.
By virtue of her position and influence within Alliance Last Generation, she made appearances on several talk shows on public and private television stations.
Some of her TV appearances include 2022: Munich Round (July),2022: Anne Will (November), 2023: Maischberger (April) and 2023: star TV (April).
In March 2023, Carla Hinrichs was fined 600 euros by the Tiergarten district court and her offence was a road blockade in Berlin in February 2022.
Again in April 2022, Carla Hinrichs got herself involved in another road blockade and was initially served with a penalty order for 1,800 euros.
The hearing was held on main hearing took place on May 11, 2023, at the district court in Frankfurt am Main and she was sentenced to imprisonment.
Her sentence was suspended for three years.
