Brian Connolly Cause of Death: Full Details

Brian Connolly was born on October 5, 1945, and he was a Scottish singer-songwriter, musician and actor. He was widely known as the lead singer of the band called The Sweet. This was between 1968 and 1979.

Brian Connolly was born in Cathcart, Glasgow and he was taken care of by Frances Connolly, a teenage waitress as his father was not known.

Jim and Helen McManus of Blantyre, South Lanarkshire fostered Brian Connolly when he was just two years old.

For Brian Connolly, singing was part and parcel of his childhood days as he did not get access to television. On a regular basis, he was called to sing for family and friends and with the passage of time, the Everly Brothers influenced her with respect to music.

Brian Connolly Cause of Death

Brian Connolly suffered a heart attack in January 1997 but after a week, he left the hospital where he was receiving treatment.

A week later, he was re-admitted to the hospital but unfortunately, he died at midnight on February 10, 1997. The cause of death of Brian Connolly can be attributed to kidney and liver failure as well as repeated heart attacks.

He was 51 years old at the time of death. Brian Connolly was cremated on February 17, 1997, at Most Holy Name Roman Catholic Church at Old Mill Road, Denham, Buckinghamshire and his ashes were scattered over the water by his daughters Nicola and Michelle. He left behind his ex-wife, Marilyn, his girlfriend Jean and their one-year-old son Brian.
