Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha, has issued a serious warning regarding the behavior of Frank Kwaku Appiah, commonly referred to as Appiah Stadium.
The leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Kumchacha has labeled Appiah Stadium a “security threat” to President John Mahama, signaling his aggressive interactions with the public figure as troubling.
In a video monitored by Ghana Insider on Facebook, Prophet Kumchacha criticized Appiah Stadium’s lack of decorum around the President, describing his behavior as “misconduct” that warrants intervention from national security forces. He then urged National Security to call Appiah Stadium to order.
The prophet emphasized that even in admiration, there are appropriate boundaries to maintain. He pointedly remarked, “I may visit him at his home or the Jubilee House,” indicating the importance of respecting the President’s privacy and security protocols.
Concerns were heightened when Prophet Kumchacha referenced instances where Appiah Stadium aggressively approached the President, including occasions when he chased Mahama’s vehicle in an attempt to greet him.
This behavior, Kumchacha believes, could easily lead to dangerous situations, emphasizing, “When your enemy wants to get to you, they use someone very close to you.”
Adding to the discussion, Ibrahim Mahama, brother of John Mahama and a notable businessman, has publicly expressed his disapproval of Appiah Stadium’s approach during a recent event. In a viral clip, he confronted Appiah Stadium about his methods, stating, “It is not nice.” Their brief exchange was overshadowed by the background noise, but the message was clear—there is concern about the activist’s proximity to powerful individuals.
On February 7, 2025, Appiah Stadium’s attempts to engage with President Mahama at a funeral were thwarted.
Former President Mahama was among the high-profile dignitaries who paid their last respects at the funeral of the late Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Arnold Quainoo. As Mahama was exiting the venue and heading to his vehicle, social commentator Appiah Stadium tried to approach him. However, security personnel, including military and police officers, swiftly intervened and stopped him from getting close to the former president.
Appiah Stadium was overheard calling out to the former president in an effort to grab his attention. Despite the tight security, he eventually got closer to the presidential convoy after a staff member rolled down the front passenger window to briefly engage with him.
