Anton Schmaus is a German chef who was born on August 21, 1981. It must be noted that Anton Schmaus grew up in a family of restaurateurs in Viechtach.
Anton Schmaus had training in a one-star restaurant in Ehningen and subsequently moved to Martin Dalsass in 2005 at the Santabbondio restaurant in Sorengo that was in Switzerland. He later moved to Johris Talvo in St.Moritz in 2006.
It must also be known that in 2007, he moved to F12 in Stockholm and to the Per Se in New York later in 2008. As head chef, Anton Schmaus opened the Historisches Eck in Resensburg in May 2009. The Historisches Eck was awarded one star in the Michelin Guide in 2011. The restaurant however closed down at the end of March 2014. Three months later, Anton Schmaus opened Storstad.
Anton Schmaus was named Gault-Millau Newcomer of the Year 2015. Later in October 2016, Anton Schmaus set up the restaurant known as Sticky Fingers in Resensburg and from 2017 to 2022, he also had the Cafe Antoinette in St. Emmeram Castle under his control.
He served as the head chef of the German national football team. He opened the small sushi bar Aska at the end of 2019.
Some of the awards of Anton Schmaus are 2011-2014: One star in the Michelin Guide for the Historisches Eck, 2014: Rising Star of the Year 2015 in Gault-Millau, since 2015: One star in the Michelin Guide for the Storstad as well as since 2015: 17 points in Gault Millau.
