Anke Engelke, born Anke Christina Fischer on December 21, 1965, is a German comedian, actress, voice actress, and television presenter.
She was born in Montreal, Canada, but she and her German parents relocated to Cologne in 1971. Engelke demonstrated her vocal ability at an early age, and Georg Bossert first noticed her in 1978 while seeing the chorus at her school perform.
Engelke has had two marriages. She has a daughter with keyboardist Andreas Grimm, with whom she was married from 1994 until 2000. She then wed musician Claus Fischer, with whom she had two kids, and they were married from 2005 until 2015.
