Mauro Icardi is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a striker for Turkish Süper Lig club Galatasaray. Mauro Icardi was born on February 19, 1993, and he began his career with the youth team of Vecindario and he graduated from the youth system of La Liga club Barcelona.
Subsequently, he made a move to Serie A club Sampdoria in 2012 for the onset of his professional career. Later in July 2013, Mauro Icardi joined Inter Milan and got recognised as one of the most prolific strikers in Europe.

He became the club’s eighth-highest goalscorer of all time. After playing for Inter for some years, he signed a one-year loan deal to play for Paris Saint-Germain in 2019.
He won a domestic treble with Paris Saint-Germain and he was permanently acquired by the club for €50 million. He also played for Galatasaray after initially playing on loan for them for a year. He played for the Argentine national team for the first time in October 2013 but has not played in many matches since then.

Mauro Icardi was in a relationship with Argentine media personality Wanda Nara. Wanda Nara was then married to Icardi’s former Sampdoria teammate Maxi López but they had no option but to break up after it became clear that Wanda Nara and Mauro Icardi were together.
Mauro Icardi and Wanda Nara got married on May 27, 2014, in Buenos Aires. They have two daughters; Francesca and Isabella.
It is believed that the marriage between Mauro Icardi and Wanda Nara has affected the relationship Mauro Icardi and with Maxi López and also brought animosity against Icardi in Argentina.
Maxi López on two occasions refused to shake the hand of Mauro Icardi during matches.
Mauro Icardi released his autobiography called Sempre Avanti (Always Forward) on October 11, 2016.
The book caused controversy with respect to an incident that offended Inter fans. Mauro Icardi was fined by the club and was forced to remove such content from the book.
He was not selected for Argentina’s final squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and many people believed it was due to his controversial marriage to Wanda Nara.
