Sabine Mehne can be described as an author, physiotherapist, family therapist and speaker. She was born in 1957 in Nuremberg.It must be noted that Sabine Mehne once became sick due to cancer in 1995. Before then, she was working as a physiotherapist and systemic family therapist.
Sabine Mehne is one person who has been an active ambassador for near-death experience for about 25 years. She is known to have lectured several times. It must be noted that since 2019, Sabine Mehne has been committed to self-determined dying. She has also been a promoter of a new form of ‘ars moriendi’.
Ars moriendi is a fearless approach to death and dying in the 21st century. Sabine Mehne has the vision of helping in the promotion of a socially-relevant debate through television, radio, films as well as her podcast.
In 1980, Sabine Mehne passed the state examination and subsequently became a physiotherapist at the physiotherapy school at the Mainz University Hospital. Between 1980 and 1981, she had her year of recognition at the Sankt Jurgen hospital in Bremen.
Subsequently, she worked in the orthopedic outpatient clinic between 1981 and 1983. It must also be noted that from 1983 to 1985, Sabine Mehne worked as a physiotherapist in an health centre in Riedstadt. She also did freelance work in various physiotherapeutic practices in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district.
She established herself in 1990 as she was able to open her physiotherapy practice in Darmstadt .
Between 1990 and 1993, Sabine Mehne boosted her knowledge as she had further training in systemic family therapy. She had the training at the International Society for Systemic Therapy (IGST).
As an author, Sabine Mehne has some publications to her credit. In 1996, she founded Bed University. From 1997, she published various works which included novels, brochures as well as volumes of poetry and plays. Sabine Mehne was actively involved in the play ‘Bis aufs Mark’.
The play was premiered at the Hoffart Theater in Darmstadt. She also participated in the writing workshop organized by the writer Kurt Drawert in the Literaturhsus of the city of Darmstadt. This was between 2006 and 2008. In 2013, Sabine Mehne published Light Without Shadow-Living With A Near-Death Experience.
