Luis Stitzinger can be described as a German extreme mountaineer and state-certified mountain and ski guide. The father of Luis Stitzinger was Volkmar Stitzinger and it is interesting to note that his father was a mountain guide. Luis Stitzinger had two younger siblings.
Concerning education, Luis Stitzinger was a student and studied at the Faculty of Sports Science at the Technical University of Munich. He was awarded the ‘Dr. Gertrude Krombholz Prize. Luis Stitzinger also studied English at the LMU Munich.
He completed training to become a mountain and ski guide after writing a state examination. After successfully writing and passing the state examination, Luis Stitzinger worked professionally in Munich.
He worked in Munich from 1998 to 2003 and he was a full-time employee of the Munich section of the German Alpine Club. He was the head of the mountaineering department. It is worth noting that between 2004 and 2012, Luis Stitzinger was the one in charge of expeditions and extreme mountaineering in the DAV Summit Club program.
He led so many expeditions. Later in 2013, he set up his own company called Go Climb A Mountain. Through this,he became self-employed as a professional mountaineer. Luis Stitzinger was also known to be an expedition leader for a specialist Oberstdorf organizer.
Luis Stitzinger Cause of Death
Luis Stitzinger was reported missing on May 25, 2023. This was after he had wanted to ski down from Kangchenjunga in the Himalayas with accompaniment.
About five days later, Luis Stitzinger was found dead. His body was found at an altitude of 8,400 meters. The cause of his death according to an autopsy was altitude sickness. Luis Stitzinger was

Luis Stitzinger got married to mountaineer Alix von Melle in 2011.
Mountaineering
Luis Stitzinger climbed so many mountains of the world. He also led several expeditions. He became very popular and known through his spectacular ski descents in eight-thousanders in recent years.
Luis Stitzinger is considered one of the most successful big mountain skiers in the international extreme ski scene.
