Helmut Haller Cause of Death: Full Details

Helmut Haller was a German footballer and he was born on July 21, 1939. It must be noted that he played for Germany t three World Cups. At club level, Helmut Haller played in Germany as well as Italy and played for Bologna and Juventus. Between 1948 and 1962, Helmut Haller played for BC Augsburg.

Later, he was convinced to play in Italy with an amount of 750,000 Marks and an annual salary of 200,000 Marks. While in Italy, Helmut Haller played alongside  Albert Brülls, Karl-Heinz Schnellinger and Horst Szymaniak.

He was part of the Bolognateam under Fulvio Bernardini in 1964 which won the Italian league title for the first time in 23 years. From 1968 until 1973, Helmut Haller played for Juventus and he won in 1972 and 1973. In 1973, he also helped the team to reach the European Champions Cup final in Belgrade against AFC Ajax.

Helmut Haller subsequently returned to his hometown and joined FC Augsburg.FC Augsburg was then a merged team comprising BC Augsburg with local rivals TSV Schwaben and the team had just been promoted to the second division Regionalliga.

He was paid DM 44,000 for his transfer. FC Augsburg finished at the top spot in the southern division of the Regionalliga but could not make it to the Bundesliga by one point.

Helmut Haller started playing for Germany when he was just 19 years old. He played a total of 33 matches and scored 13 goals for Germany. He was at the  1962 World Cup held in Chile, the 1966 World Cup in England and the 1970 World Cup held in Mexico.

Helmut Haller was a playmaker as well as a goal scorer and as a striker, he was noted for his exceptional technique and finesse. After retiring from playing football, he coached some amateur clubs. He also operated a fashion shop.

Helmut Haller suffered a serious heart attack on Boxing Day 2006. It must be noted that subsequently, Helmut Haller suffered from Parkinson’s disease and dementia and unfortunately died on October 11, 2012.

He got married to his third wife, the native Cuban Noraimy Rodriguez Guiterrez, in 2003. She was then just 21 years old. They had two sons and a daughter.
