Wolfgang Reitzle was a German business executive and he was born on March 7, 1949. He had his University education at the Technical University of Munich. While at the Technical University of Munich, Wolfgang Reitzle studied Mechanical Engineering and economics.
In 1971, when Wolfgang Reitzle was just 22 years old, he became Munich’s youngest-ever Diplom-ingenieur graduate. He also has a doctorate in engineering.
Wolfgang Reitzle moved to BMW in 1976 and he was the second in command.
His focus was product development and he did that for more than 10 years starting from 1987. It must be stated that between 1999 and May 1, 2002, Wolfgang Reitzle was the head of Ford’s Premier Automative Group. Under his command was Volvo, Jaguar and Land Rover marques.
With the passage of time, Wolfgang Reitzle became the CEO of The Linde Group, at that time, a leader in the manufacture of Forklift trucks. He became a member of the board in 2002. A year later, Wolfgang Reitzle became the Chairman.
He was subsequently elected as Chairman of the Supervisory board of Linde AG. He got the appointment to be part of the supervisory board of the fashion company, called Bogner.
Unfortunately, he resigned from his position in 2019.
