Edgar Moron can be described as a German politician. He was born on August 28, 1941, and as a politician, he was a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). He was born in Beuthen, Silesia, Germany. He had his high school education and successfully graduated in 1962. After high school, he attended the Free University of Berlin.
While at the Free University of Berlin, he read Political Science and completed in 1967 with a degree. Edgar Moron served as an assistant at the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies for about a year. Later, he decided to work and he served at the East College of the Federal Agency for Civic Education until 1973.
It must be noted that Edgar Moron served in the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia. He was at the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia for a total of twenty years; from 1990 to 2010.
In 2005, Edgar Moron became the First Vice President. Edgar Moron became a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) in 1970 and he became the local association president in Erftstadt. He also served as a member of the sub-district board of the Rhein-Erft district and he was noted to be involved in trade union activism with the Arbeiterwohlfahrt and Vereinte Dienstleistungsgewerkschaft.
Between 1975 and 2000, Edgar Moron served as a member of the City Council of Erftstadt and also served as President of the Socialist Group from 1979 to 1998. In 1989, he was a member of the Rhein-Erft-Kreis district council and chairman of the Social Democratic Party faction at Rhein-Erft-Kreis from 1994 through to 2000. Between 1989 and 1999, Edgar Moron also served as a member of the District Planning Council in the Cologne region.
In the 11th and 12th legislative period of the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia, Edgar Moron was directly elected member of Erft-Kreis III and Euskirchen I constituency as well as the constituency of Erftkreis IV.
He assumed the position of parliamentary managing director of the SPD from 1998 to 2000. He was also the parliamentary group leader from 2000 to 2005. After losing state elections in 2005, he lent his support to Hannelore Kraft.
