Avicii Cause of Death: Full Details

Avicii was a Swedish DJ, music producer and remixer who was born on September 8, 1989. His real name is Tim Bergling and he started posting his remixes at age 16.

This helped him to land a record deal. The release of ‘Levels’ by Avicii in 2011 became a turnaround in his career as it shot him into fame.

Later in 2013, Avicii released his debut album titled True and on this album, he fused electronic music with elements of multiple genres. In more than 15 countries, the song peaked in the Top 10 and also made its way into international charts.

The lead single off the album, Wake Me Up, also did so well in Europe as well as in the United States of America.

Avicii’s second album was released in 2015 and it was titled Stories. He went ahead to release an EP titled Avicii(01) two years later.

Some of the singles released by Avicii include I Could Be The One, You Make Me, X You, Hey Brother, Addicted To You, The Days, The Nights, Without You and Waiting For Love.

Avicii was nominated for a Grammy Award for his work on Sunshine which he did with David Guetta in 2012 and Levels in 2013.

Due to stress and poor mental health, Avicii put a stop to his tours in 2016.

About two years later and specifically on April 20, 2018, Avicii committed suicide while he was on holiday in Muscat, Oman.

Avicii was known to have developed anxiety in his teenage and had to see a therapist at age 14.

Relationships

Between 2011 and 2013, Avicii was sexually involved with Emily Goldberg who was an American student.

He also dated Racquel Bettencourt, a Canadian student and model. Avicii stayed with Racquel Bettencourt in the same apartment till they separated in 2014.

Just before Avicii died, he was dating Tereza Kacerova, a model but kept the relationship secret.
