Bernd Fischerauer was an Austrian director, actor, novelist and screenwriter who was born on March 11, 1943. He was born to a father who was a member of the Waffen-SS and a convinced anti-Semite. He completed High school in Graz in 1961.

He also studied at the Max Reinhardt Seminar. Bernd Fischerauer successfully graduated in 1965 as a member of the Directing Class. The area of focus for Bernd Fischerauer was theater and television.
