To enroll as a law student at any of Ghana’s law schools, you must first receive a bachelor’s degree (4-year duration).
If the degree is from a reputable university, it will suffice. By “recognised,” I mean that the institution must be recognized by legal schools such as UG, KNUST, GIMPA, Zenith, and Mount Crest (although there are a few private arrangements that lead to the “London Law Degree”).
Following your first degree, you can apply to one of the above-mentioned universities to pursue a law degree (LLB) (2-year duration). You may be eligible to enroll in the Ghana School of Law’s Professional Law Course after receiving your LLB (subject to certain restrictions) (2-year duration)

How many years does it take to study law in Ghana?
For most WASSCE aspirants, becoming a lawyer in Ghana could take up to six years. Those who already hold a bachelor’s degree and want to study law must first get a law degree (LL.B) from a university. Depending on the university you attend, it could be two, three, or four years.
Duration of Programmes
With the exception of The Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine programmes, all first degree programmes of study are of four (4) years duration.
The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) programme may be followed by a-two year professional course at the Ghana School of Law.
The Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery programmes may be followed by a three-year clinical programme for the DBS and the MB. ChB Degree.
The Doctor of Pharmacy is a straight six-year programme.
The Doctor of Veterinary Medicine is a straight six-year programme.
