Alfred Bayer can be described as a German ministerial official and manager. Alfred Bayer was born on March 8, 1933, in Munich and it must be noted that he served as State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Transportation.
He was also the chairman of the CSU-affiliated Hanns Seidel Foundation.
He attended a secondary school and also studied Economics. He taught at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. This was after he had graduated from high school in 1952 and had passed the state examination in 1957.
Alfred Bayer subsequently became a member of the Catholic Student Association Rhaetia Munich.
It must be noted that he served as a civil servant in the municipal school service in Munich.
Later in the 1960s, he served as an advisor to the CSU General secretary Anton Jaumann on economic issues. As a result, he had the opportunity to be included into the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance.
In 1969, he was appointed State Secretary of Finance. A year later, he assumed the role of Jaumann’s Economic Policy advisor at the State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Transport. He became the head of the Ministry of Economic Affairs as a ministerial director in 1976.
Later in 1982, Alfred Bayer became State Secretary under Minister Werner Dollinger in the Federal Ministry of Transport in 1983. It must be noted that over the years, he has served in different capacities.
Some of the awards to the credit of Alfred Bayer include 1985: Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany, 1991: Large Cross of Merit with Star of the Federal Republic of Germany and Bavarian Order of Merit.
