Bettina Hoppe was a German actress who was born on May 21, 1974, in Nairobi, Kenya. She was at the Berlin University of the Arts between 1996 and 2000. While at the University, she had training in acting and got engaged at the Detached Theater Berlin and at the Maxim Gorki theater after completing her education at the University.
It must be noted that she was with Deutsches Theater Berlin from 2000 to 2001 and was with the Maxim Gorki Theater from 2001 to 2006. She became a permanent member of Schaubuhne Berlin between 2006 and 2009. She also worked at Schauspiel Frankfurt and Berliner Ensemble at different times.
It must be noted that Bettina Hoppe teamed up with 184 other lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, intersex and transgender people from the arts sector for the #ActOut initiative in SZ Magazine.

Bettina Hoppe finished in the third position with respect to the Young Actress of the Year award in 2002/2003. She was the Best Actress, Hessian Theater Days in 2011 and in the same year, she got a nomination for the Theater Prize Der Faust.
She was also nominated for the German Audiobook Award as Best Interpreter for ‘The Street’.
