Early Life
Mirco Nonchev’s father, Vasko Nontschew, was a musician who had immigrated to East Germany from Bulgaria. His parents, who both worked in the media, had other plans for their kid. They urged Mirco to pursue a career in trade education and work as a mechanic at VEB Medizinische Geräte Berlin.
Mirco possessed an uncontrollable spark of creativity and artistic talent. He debuted as a beatboxer and breakdancer on stage with his group “Downtown Lyrics” on July 28, 1989, in Radebeul, close to Dresden. His entry into the entertainment industry began with this performance, in which he displayed his musical skills on the piano and drums.
Career
In 1993, Mirco Nontschew’s big break occurred when he was contacted by Hugo Egon Balder, a well-known character in German comedy, who was seeking new talent for his upcoming comedy television series, “RTL Samstag Nacht.” The ideal candidate for the program was Nontschew because of his exceptional ability to mimic noises and his innate sense of humor. Over the course of the show’s entire run from 1993 to 1998, he swiftly established himself as a notable member of the group.
Nontschew advanced his comedic career with his show, “Mircomania,” which aired on Sat.1 and was co-hosted by Janine Kunze. He has dabbled in acting, making cameos in German comedies like “7 Dwarves – Men Alone in the Wood” (2004) and its follow-up “7 Dwarves: The Forest Is Not Enough” (2006) that showed off his range and humorous skills.
Nontschew kept bringing humor to the big screen throughout his career. He started appearing often on the improv comedy program “Frei Schnauze” in 2005. In 2012, he collaborated with Sophia Thomalla and fellow comic Oliver Beerhenke to revive the Sat.1 program “Die Dreisten Drei.”
