Nino Niederreiter was born on September 8, 1992, and he is a Swiss ice hockey player. He has been playing for the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League since February 2023. The ice hockey career of Nino Niederreiter commenced in his hometown at HC Davos.
He used to play for the New York Islanders in the National Hockey League who selected him fifth in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Nino Niederreiter was a member of the Swiss National team which won a silver medal at the 2013 World Championship as well as the 2018 Championship.
He graduated from the youth ranks of EHC Chur before he became a member of the junior department of HC Davos in 2006. Without a doubt, Nino Niederreiter is one of the greatest talents in Switzerland so far as ice hockey is concerned.

Nino Niederreiter represented Switzerland during the 2008 and 2009 U-18 Junior World Championships. He led Switzerland to the semi-finals of the 2010 U-20 Junior World Championship. Switzerland placed fourth and Nino Niederreiter was named as a member of the tournament’s all-star-team.
He earned a call-up to the men’s national team in 2010. He played a game during the 2010 World Cup. He was a member of the men’s national team that won a silver medal at the 2013 World Championship in Stockholm. He was part of Team Europe at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. The team placed second.
