Meagan Good is an American actress who was born on August 8, 1981. Her parents are Tyra Wardlow-Doyle and Leondis “Leon” Good and she was born in the Panorama City neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Tyra Wardlow-Doyle worked as a Good’s manager whereas Leondis “Leon” Good is an LAPD police officer.
Meagan Good was raised in Canyon Country (now known as Santa Clarita), and it must be noted that she started her acting career when she was about four years old.
Meagan Good became famous due to the role she played in the film titled Eve’s Bayou which was produced and released in 1997.
Later on, she got the opportunity to star in the Nickelodeon sitcom Cousin Skeeter from 1998 to 2001. Meagan Good also featured in Deliver Us from Eva (2003), Roll Bounce (2005), and Stomp the Yard (2007).
She was also a member of the cast of the film Think Like a Man in 2012 and later in 2013, she played the lead character NBC drama series Deception. Her presence was also felt in the comedy titled Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
Other productions and films she has been involved in include One Missed Call (2008), Saw V (2008), The Unborn (2009) and DC Comics’ Shazam! (2019) and returned for the role of Darla Dudley in Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023).
Meagan Good is a Christian and considers herself a spiritual being. She chose her acting career over dating when she was 22 years old. She however started dating DeVon Franklin, an executive for Columbia Pictures and Seventh-day Adventist preacher. They got engaged in April 2012 and on June 16, 2012, at Triunfo Creek Winery in Malibu, California, they got married.
Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin divorced in June 2022. Some of the nominations earned by Meagan Good include the following: Outstanding Youth Actor/Actress at the 1998 NAACP Image Awards, Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Drama Film at the 1998 YoungStar Awards, Choice Breakout (Female) and Choice Movie Actress: Drama at the 2006 Teen Choice Awards and 2007 Teen Choice Awards respectively.
Others include Best Ensemble at the 2006 Black Reel Awards, Best Kiss at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture at the 2008 NAACP Image Awards.
