Hape Kerkeling is a German TV presenter, author, actor and comedian. Hape Kerkeling was born on December 9, 1964.It was revealed by filmmaker Rosa von Praunheim on a German Television talkshow on December 10, 1991, that Hape Kerkeling was a gay.
It must be noted that while in secondary school, Hape Kerkeling and some students formed a band. He started his career as a comedian in radio and has worked with several broadcasting companies.
Between 1984 and 1985, Hape Kerkeling had his breakthrough with the role he played in Kanguru television comedy show. He started his own comedy Tv show, Total Normal in 1989 together with Achim Hagermann.
The show has several television prizes and awards and some are the Goldene Kamera, the Adolf-Grimme-Preis as well as the Bayerischer Fernsehpreis.
Hape Kerkeling worked for ARD in the 1990s and he moderated the show Warmumsherz. He also has several television films to his credit.
