Wolfgang Jansen was a German actor who was born on April 3, 1938, in Danzig. His parents were Bernhard Jansen and Elli Jansen. Whereas his father was a sculptor, his mother was a singer.
Wolfgang Jansen was one of the survivors of the refugee ship, Wilheim Gustloff which sunk in 1945. He grew up in Berlin with his grandmother after losing his parents and worked at different Berlin theaters to earn a living.
He landed his first role in a film in 1951. The film was a smuggler film titled Sinful Border. Subsequently, he played the roles of a cheeky brat, curious, cheeky students and apprentices in several films in the 1950s.
Wolfgang Jansen was quite popular with respect to Austrian productions. His role in the film titled The Heiden von Kummerow and the Funny Pranks also increased his popularity.
He hosted the children’s series Kli-Kla Klawitter in 1974 and also appeared in several German theaters. This was after he found it difficult to play the role of a teenager in films. He was involved in 70 episodes of ‘Fauch und Sebastian ‘ for West-Sandmannchenn(NDR).

Wolfgang Jansen got involved in a fatal train accident. This was in 1985 in Darmstadt. He lost his right leg in the accident.
Wolfgang Jansen died in 1988 due to poor living conditions. He was 49 years old at the time of his death
