Early Life
Tom Kaulitz started his career in music at an early age, as did his identical twin brother Bill Kaulitz. They were born to Simone Kaulitz and Jörg W. The twins’ parents separated when they were seven years old.
Tom and Bill received their first musical instruction from Trümper. The two main factors behind the creation of what would later become the Tokio Hotel were Tom, who enjoyed playing the guitar, and Bill, who had an early interest in singing. Their friends Georg Listing on bass guitar and Gustav Schäfer on drums helped establish the band.
Devilish was formally formed in 2001 by the Kaulitz twins, Listing, and Schäfer. That being said, they later renamed it the Tokio Hotel. The group’s rapid rise to fame in the 2000s was marked by several tours, appearances, and a dedicated fan base known as “Aliens.”
Among Tokio Hotel’s well-known albums are “Schrei” (2005), “Zimmer 483” (2007), “Scream” (2007), “Humanoid” (2009), “Kings of Suburbia” (2014), “Dream Machine” (2017), and “2001” (2022). Their appeal transcended national lines and they became a global phenomenon.
Tom Kaulitz is a multi-instrumentalist in addition to a composer and guitarist. He began playing a Gibson guitar in 2007, which has made a big difference in the distinctive sound of Tokio Hotel. In addition to playing the guitar, Tom also plays the keyboards, the piano, and back vocals, and provides percussion.
Who is Tom Kaulitz’s Mother?
Simone Charlotte Kaulitz is the mother of Tom Kaulitz. Simone moved with her two sons to Loitsche near Magdeburg to live with her new partner, the guitarist for the German rock band Fatun Gordon Trümper.
