Thomas Anders was born on March 1, 1963, in Koblenz, West Germany, and grew up in the little community of Mörz. Anders had a great interest in music from a young age and began taking piano and vocal classes.

At the age of six, he made his stage debut as Saint Nicholas in a Catholic children’s play. He later won a singing contest when he was ten years old, beating out 100 other children.
