Gundula Gause-Schmitz, born on April 30th, 1965, in West Berlin, is a renowned German news presenter for ZDF.

Gundula Gause began her career as a news presenter at ZDF in 1992 and has had several notable positions since then. She worked as a substitute moderator for the popular news programme heute-journal from June to December 2021.
She has been the principal presenter and host of the midday editions of the ZDF- heute newspaper up-to-date since January 2022. She has also co-hosted the ZDF Morning magazine and the Neighbours magazine.
