Hon.Frank Annor Dompreh; Majority Chief Whip and MP for Nsawam Adoagyiri has disclosed that the majority caucus and the NPP have no intentions of removing Hon.Afwoa Safo from parliament.
He also requested the public to disregard claims of some minority members. Some members of the minority had earlier disclosed that the NPP has plans of declaring the seat of the MP for Dome-Kwabenya vacant.
Hon.Frank Annor stated that; “We haven’t triggered a process for Adwoa Safo’s removal. If we do, we understand the procedure and what our standing orders say and that is not lost to us as a majority but you can check the records. You can check the table office if it has come by a motion. You can check the speaker’s secretariat. We on the majority side have not tended in any move.”
He also settled on the claims levelled against some NPP MPs by Okudzeto Ablakwa. According to him, none of the MPs named by Okudzeto Ablakwa have absented themselves for the said 15 continuous days. He therefore requested Okudzeto Ablakwa to go ahead and file the motion.
“I saw my friend Mr.Ablakwa put up such a post but it is a wild guess because we have not done anything like that and I don’t know what he was trying to re-empt”, Mr.Dompreh stated.
