Tim Bendzko can be described as a German singer-songwriter. He grew up in the Köpenick region of Berlin and he became so known and had nationwide recognition with the release of the song titled “Nur noch kurz die Welt retten”.
With that song, Tim Bendzko became the winner of the Bundesvision Song Contest. When Tim Bendzko was a teenager, she attended a sports gymnasium.
At age 16, she was playing with the FC Union Berlin club. With respect to his music career, it started when he decided to have lessons to be able to play the guitar. He started learning how to play the guitar when he was about 11 or 12 years and it is important to note that he wrote his first songs when he was about 16 years old.
Tim Bendzko gained admission to the Free University of Berlin. At the Free University of Berlin, he studied Protestant Theology and non-Christian religions. Unfortunately, he could not earn a degree due to the fact that he dropped out of the school after five semesters.
Not long after, he worked as an auctioneer in the car trade for a short while but in 2009, he registered to be part of the talent competition, Söhne puta gesucht of Söhne Mannheims.
After winning Söhne puta gesucht of Söhne Mannheims, Tim Bendzko got the opportunity to perform in the summer of 2009 before 20,000 spectators at the Berlin Waldbühne, one of Europe’s largest concert venues.
He landed a recording contract with Sony Music and also performed as an opening act for Silly on their 2010 tour.
Tim Bendzko released his debut album Wenn Worte meine Sprache wären on June 17, 2011, even though a single off the album was released on May 27, 2011.
The single in question was Nur noch kurz die Welt retten (“Just quickly save the world”). The album, Wenn Worte meine Sprache wären , earned accolades such as Number four in the German charts, certified 3× Gold in Germany for sales of more than 450,000 copies as well as Platinum status in Switzerland and Gold in Austria.
The album sold over 500,000 copies in Germany alone, was certified 5× Gold in Germany, Platinum in Switzerland and Gold in Austria.
Tim Bendzko Disease
Tim Bendzko does not have any disease. He had the chance to perform as an open act in Cologne and Leipzig on Elton John’s tour of Germany.
He was also the support act for Joe Cocker during his Hard Knocks tour. He took part in the Bundesvision Song Contest 2011 and won.
Tim Bendzko won the newcomer Bambi award and he also served in the first season of the German version of The Voice Kids as a coach.
