Who Is Sabine Mehne? 

Sabine Mehne was a renowned German author, physiotherapist and family therapist born in 1957 in Nuremberg, Germany.

After she graduated from high school in 1977, Mehne went on to study physiotherapy and wrote her state examination at the Physiotherapy School of the University Hospital in Mainz in 1980.

She then went on to work at the Reinkenheide Clinic in Bremerhaven from 1981 to 1983 before working at the health center in Riedstadt as a physiotherapist from 1983 to 1985.

Between 1985 to 1990, Mehne worked as a physiotherapist in a number of facilities in the Darmstadt Dieburg district and eventually opened her own physiotherapy clinic in Darmstadt in 1990.

Whiles running her own physiotherapy clinic, Mehne still felt the need to acquire more knowledge hence decided to attend the International Society for Systemic Therapy (IGST) in 1990 to study systemic family therapy.

She graduated in 1993 and continued to run her physiotherapy clinic until 1997 thereabouts where she stopped hugely because of her cancer. She had to undergo a bone marrow transplant in 1996 that was a life changing moment for her.

Since then, she dedicated her life to being an ambassador for near death experiences until she died in 2022. She founded the Bed University in 1996 and started doing more of writing.

She began to publish a number of novels, articles, pamphlets, books, plays and poems in 1997. In 2001, she was involved in the play Bis aufs Mark at the Hoffart Theater in Darmstadt

Mehne participated in writer Kurt Drawert writing workshop in the Literature House of the City of Darmstadt from 2006 to 2008.

Books she has published include “I die as I Want” (2019), “Light without shadow – living with a near-death experience” (2013), “The Great Departure – How I lost my fear of death through my near-death experience”.
