Robert Vaughn Cause of Death: Full Details

Robert Vaughn was an American stage, film and television actor, author, political activist and advertising spokesperson. He was born on November 22, 1932, and it is impressive to note that his professional career covered six decades.

He has played lead roles in so many films; he played the role of Chester A. Gwynn in the film titled The You g Philadelphians. As a result of his performance in the film, he was nominated for the 1959 Academy Award in the Best Supporting Actor category.

He also played a role in the film titled The Magnificent Seven. With respect to over 200 television shows, Robert Vaughn played the lead role and it covered over 50 years. He was featured in the hit series, The Man from U.N.C.L.E . For the mini-series titled Washington: Behind Closed Doors, Robert Vaughn won an Emmy in 1978.

With respect to education, Robert Vaughn attended Lowell Elementary, Jordan Junior High School as well as North High School in Minneapolis. He graduated in 1950.

While in school, he was involved with the Polaris Weekly school newspapers, student council, and various sports activities and most importantly he was named the captain of the cross-country team.

Robert Vaughn was at the University of Minnesota and read Journalism. Unfortunately, after a year, he dropped out of school and relocated to Los Angeles with his mother.

He received a Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts from Los Angeles City College in 1956 and furthered his education by earning a Master’s degree in theater in 1960 from the Los Angeles State College of Applied Arts and Sciences.

Robert Vaughn died on November 11, 2016. He died in a hospital in Danbury, Connecticut. He died just eleven days before his 84th birthday. His death came after undergoing a year-long treatment for leukemia.

Military Service

On November 29, 1955, Robert Vaughn was inducted into the US Army Reserve. His active duty started on December 18, 1956, at Fort ORD, California.

During his first leave, Berger’s disease her mother had come to the fore. Berger’s disease is closely related to a fatal kidney disorder and so Robert Vaughn applied for an Honorable Hardship discharge.

Even before he would get feedback, he was made to work as a drill instructor at Ford Ord. However, he was finally discharged from the army on May 26, 1957. It is interesting to note that he later served in the army till November 1962.
