Robert Dolger has been serving as German ambassador to Morocco since May 2022. Robert Dolger is a German diplomat who was born on August 29, 1960. Prior to becoming the ambassador to Morocco, Robert Dolger served as the Africa Representative at the Federal Foreign Office.
He had his agricultural and vocational training between 1981 and 1982 after he had graduated from high school. He subsequently enrolled at Triesdorf at the Agricultural Education Center till 1986 where he studied Agriculture.
He studied Agriculture and Development Economics at Wye College, London for his postgraduate studies between 1988 and 1989.
In 1991, Robert Dolger joined the foreign service and he was employed at the headquarters of the Foreign Office in Berlin.
Later, he was appointed permanent representative of the head of the German embassy in Burkina Faso in 1993.
He also served as a consultant between 1996 and 1999 at the Permanent Mission to NATO in Brussels. Robert Dolger again served as a consultant at the headquarters of the Foreign Office between 1999 and 2002.
Robert Dolger worked at the embassy in Copenhagen till 2005 but between 2005 and 2006, he was appointed head of department for the Middle East at the Federation of German Industries. He again worked at the headquarters of the Foreign Office from 2006 to 2009, and for the next two years, he served as deputy head of the political department at the embassy in London.
Between 2011 and 2015 he was with the Middle East Department and with the passage of time, he became the permanent representative of the head of the German embassy in Ankara. This was between 2015 and 2018.
