About Pharmatrust Professional College

Pharmatrust professional College was instituted with the primal idea of giving its students the much needed professional experience and employable skills to fit or meet the demanding job market.

They are an accredited institution under the law of Ghana. They have also been accredited by National Vocational Training Institution and City and Guilds London (UK) for certificate and diploma programs in healthcare.

Aside healthcare programs, the institution offers certificate and diploma programs in Laboratory Technician.

They are also in collaboration with Pharmatrust Consult in developing a program called Pharma Marketing and Salesmanship course. This course only last for six months. This is design to provide students with the necessary training for them to be suitable in pharmaceutical industries as sales executives.

They again offer ICT course such as networking, graphic designing, computer software, and hardware. This helps and enables students to become professionals in Information and Communication Technology.

In the school, they exercise a limber shift system to motivate students who are willing to take up their courses.

The shifts accessible are morning shift, afternoon shifts, evening shifts and weekend shifts and these shifts are for all their programs!

The shifts help students in their studies and alongside keeping their daily jobs.

  1. Healthcare Assistant Course (certificate, diploma and specialist diploma)

Pharmatrust Professional College offers certificate healthcare course which have been accredited by National Vocational and Training Institute.

This certificate course is a one year program. The program is recommended for people who wants to work as healthcare assistants. It also serves as a foundation for people who wants to advance their studies in nursing.

Their diploma course are awarded by City and Guilds London (UK). This make they course to have an international acknowledgment, which means students can work in any country that accepts City and Guilds London certificate. We are talking of countries such as Nigeria, UK, Italy, South Africa, Turkey, Australia, Ireland and Scotland.

Admission Requirements For This Course

An Individual seeking to take this course in Pharmatrust Professional College must have either “O” Level Certificate (GCE), Senior High School Certificate Examination(SSCE) or West African Certificate Examination (WACE).

The person should ensure that he or she has four(4) passes, including Mathematics and English language.

Students who have no background or knowledge in healthcare sector are made to offer the certificate program then after, the diploma and specialist diploma. The duration for all these is two (2) years.

 

  1. Laboratory Technician Course (certificate and diploma)

Pharmatrust Professional College offers both certificate and diploma course in Laboratory Technology.

The certificate program last for a year, where students are provided with important laboratory experience to be professional and effective lab technicians.

The certificate program gives students the theoretical concepts and practical, which is conducted at the Accra Polytechnic.

Students also go for attachments during vacations and are being examined by the Technical Examination Unit of the GES. After the certificate students will be registered for the diploma program.

  1. Diploma in Business Studies

Students who take up this course specialize in either management, accounting, marketing, purchasing and supply, or secretarial.

Students are provided with practical attachment for better understanding of what they have been taught. Although Pharmatrust Professional College handle this program, it is examined by the Examination Unit of the Ghana Educational Service (GES).

Admission Requirements For This Course.

  1. Pharma Marketing and Salesmanship Course.

This course was formed recently. The aim of the course is to give knowledge in wholesale and warehouse management Salesmanship, retail and customer management and to make one suitable to work as a sales representative in a pharmaceutical industry.

The course are in faculties and the include:

  • Faculty 1: Retail and Consumer Management
  • Faculty 2: Wholesale and Warehouse Management
  • Faculty 3: Salesmanship (Sales Representatives and Pharma-marketing in Pharmaceutical industry)

The school has great links with well-known Pharmaceutical industries and therefore students are confident in finding a job after taking this course.

Admission Requirements for this Course.

An Individual seeking to take this course in Pharmatrust Professional College must have either “O” Level Certificate (GCE), Senior High School Certificate Examination(SSCE) or West African Certificate Examination (WACE).

The person should ensure that he or she has four(4) passes, including Mathematics and English language.

Since the program is for individuals who need knowledge in marketing of pharmaceutical products, applicants with diploma, HND or degree in marketing can apply.

Also medicine counter assistants, dispensing technicians can also apply for the course. The course last for six (6) months.

 

  1. Certificate in Computer Software

Pharmatrust Professional College awards certificate in computer software. The course last for only three (3) months and its is to help people who wants to be Microsoft Office Specialist.

You can enroll for this course if you need to have a computer background for you career. They course includes: Introduction to Computer System, Introduction to Microsoft, Windows Microsoft Office, Word Microsoft Office, Excel Microsoft Office, PowerPoint Microsoft Office, Publisher Free Typing with Mavis Beacon.

 

  1. Diploma in Graphic Designing

The school offers Diploma in graphic design for three months. The course is for people who wants to become current and fictive graphic designers.

This innovative course will make individuals become graphic designers who will advertise for a business sector.

 

  1. Diploma in Computer Hardware (A+)

This course is for six (6) months. This course involves consistent practical experience.

The course involves installing, maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems and elements. Computer hardware makes one a Computer Technician.
