Özcan Coşar is a talented German comedian, cabaret artist, podcaster, presenter, and actor who was born in Stuttgart – Bad Cannstatt on April 6, 1981. In the 1970s, Coşar’s parents, Emine and Musa, moved to Germany from the Black Sea region of Samsun, Turkey.
He was raised in the Zazenhausen neighbourhood and went to the high school in Weilimdorf.
Coşar started breakdancing at an early age, and in 1996, she co-founded the breakdance crew Dynamic Move. In 2000, after winning the German B-Boy Championship, he began instructing breakdancers at a dance school.
He hosted the Battle of the Month for the first time on stage in 2004. This resulted in him having the chance to serve as a moderator for several events, such as the Games Convention and the FIFA Interactive World Cup Tour.
Since making his stand-up comedy debut at Stuttgart’s Corso Bar in 2008, Coşar has participated in several solo shows and comedy events. In 2013, he joined RebellComedy as a regular ensemble member. He stayed till 2016. Additionally, Coşar has made appearances on TV programmes like Let’s Dance and TV Total.
Coşar is a successful podcaster in addition to his comedic career. He and Bastian Bielendorfer have been co-hosting the Bratwurst and Baklava podcast since October 2019.
In addition, he presents The Cosar Show, a late-night programme that airs on SWR television. Coşar has achieved popularity and is still touring Germany with his comic shows. In 2019, he was awarded the German Comic Prize for Best Newcomer.
