He was the chief of the Federal Foreign Office’s USA/Canada department from 2015 to 2017. He oversaw the Afghanistan/Pakistan section from 2017 to 2018.
He served as Germany’s ambassador to Libya in Tripoli from 2018 to 2021.
He has been in charge of the German representative office in Ramallah, which is situated in the West Bank’s Palestinian Autonomous Territories, since August 2021.
