Who Is Nick Carter?
Nickolas Gene Carter, better known as Nick Carter, was born on January 28, 1980, in Jamestown, New York.
He performed in and around Tampa Bay, Florida, and identified himself as the “weird kid” who was bullied until fourth grade. Carter’s first major part was as the lead in Miles Elementary School’s fourth-grade production of Phantom of the Opera.
For his energetic performance, he received a standing ovation, and his voice drove the audience to tears.
He also starred in an educational video called “Reach for a Book” and performed for two years at Tampa Bay Buccaneers home games. Carter also appeared as a toddler on a Slip ‘N Slide in Tim Burton’s 1990 picture Edward Scissorhands.
Sandy, Carter’s dancing teacher, noticed his talent and placed him in a group called “Nick and the Angels.”
Carter recorded and performed a variety of popular songs between 1989 and 1993. These tracks were published unofficially in 2002 as Before the Backstreet Boys 1989-1993.
Carter also met AJ McLean and Howie Dorough during auditions during this time.
They grew up together and eventually created the Backstreet Boys. The group achieved enormous success, becoming one of the best-selling boy bands of all time.
Carter has a solo career in addition to his involvement with the Backstreet Boys. Now or Never, I’m Taking Off, and All American are his three solo albums. He’s also worked on an album with Jordan Knight called Nick & Knight.
Carter has made guest appearances on television and starred in his own reality shows, House of Carters and I (Heart) Nick Carter.

Leslie Carter
Leslie Carter, born on June 6, 1986, was Nick’s older sister. Tragically, she passed away on January 31, 2012, at the age of 25 due to an overdose. Leslie was also a singer and had started her own music career.

Bobbie Jean Carter is Nick’s younger sister, but not much is known about her as she prefers to stay out of the spotlight. She was recently arrested in Hernando County and charged with one count of retail theft and possession of fentanyl.
