According to Sam George who was interviewed on Onua Fm last Wednesday February 16, 2021, talks of his colleague; mp for the New Juaben South constituency is irrational and absurd.
Hon.Sam George who happens to be the mp for the Ningo-Prampram constituency revealed that Hon.Michael Okyere Baafi is suffering from a disease locally known as “kpokpogbligbli”. Sam George’s remarks were in response to the Deputy Trade and Industry Minister’s assertion that some NDC lawmakers are secretly in support of the controversial E-levy bill before the house.
He proceeded to asking Hon.Okyere Baafi to name the NDC lawmakers who are in support of the bill or humbly apologize to the minority caucus and the general public.”I think that Mr. Okyere Baafi is suffering from what we call Kpokpogbligbli, that is why he is speaking like that. Can he point at one NDC MP who has said that? I challenge him to mention his name,” he challenged Hon.Okyere Baafi.
Hon.Okyere Baafi’s video in which he made that assertion and also cautioned Ghanaians to accept the bill or risk losing the free shs institutionalized by the NPP government has been in wide circulation over the week. According to Hon.Sam George such assertions must be treated with all importance and contempt. He also cited that the NDC will kick against the bill every now and then and also asked Ghanaians to keep on putting pressure on the government to drop the e-levy bill.
