Maxl Graf was born on September 25 , 1933, in Munich and he was a German folk actor and singer in the field of folk music. His father was a railway worker in Munich. Concerning education, he attended secondary school.
Initially, Maxl Graf wanted to be a train driver but he later changed his mind and desired to be an actor. He was selected among 750 competitors as the Funk Child in 1947. Alongside Christa Berndl, Maxl Graf made an appearance in the radio play series Christa and Maxl on Radio Munich.
Unfortunately, he failed the exams at the Falckenberg Drama School. However, he had private dance, acting and singing lessons. Maxl Graf played a role in the Bayerischer Rundfunk television series The Comedy Stadium from 1959 and in 1961, he had his breakthrough in the comedy The Three Polar Bears.
He acted alongside popular actors such as Gustl Bayrhammer and Max Grießer. Maxl Graf played the role of the clever criminal assistant Fröschl, in the series The Strange Methods of Franz Josef Wanninger alongside Beppo Brem and Fritz Straßner in 1965.
Between 1969 and 1971, he played several roles in the series Royal Bavarian District Court. Unfortunately, he broke his neck in a serious car accident in 1975 which nearly affected his career. He played more roles in theaters in Munich. Maxl Graf was the host of the series Funny Musicians on ZDF in the 1970S and he also led the quiz series Do You Know Bavaria? in the third program on Bavarian Television.
Maxl Graf Cause of Death
Maxl Graf became ill with liver cancer in the 1990s. As a result of the liver cancer, he died in 1996. He was 62 years old at the time of his death. Maxl Graf died in the Großhadern Clinic in Munich and was buried in the Munich West Cemetery.
