Max Schreck was born on September 6 , 1879, in Berlin and he was a German actor. The parents of Max Schreck are Gustav Ferdinand Schreck (1846–1898) and Auguste Wilhelmine Pauline née Michaelis. Actress Gisela Uhlen (1919–2007)is said to be the niece of Max Schreck.
He had his training at the Berlin State Theater and afterward, he went on tour for two years in Zittau, Erfurt, Bremen, Lucerne, Gera and Frankfurt am Main. Max Schreck was married to actress Franziska Ott in 1910 but they never had a child. He made some appearances at the Munich Kammerspiele between 1919 and 1922 and afterward, he was hired by Prana Film for the production titled Nosferatu – A Symphony of Horror.
It must be noted that in 1923, Max Schreck was featured in the social drama titled Die Straße. Max Schreck served in several theaters and was also in some silent films together with Max Ophüls, Bertolt Brecht and Karl Valentin.
