Lucie Hoflich can be said to be a German actress who was born on February 20, 1883, and lived until October 9, 1956. It must be noted that Lucie Hoflich was not only an actress. She was also a teacher and head of the Staatliche Schauspielschule( State Drama School) in Berlin.

She was named the Staats-Schauspielerin(State Actress) in 1937 and later in 1953, she was also awarded Bundesverdienstkreuz.
So far as the career of Lucie Hoflich is concerned, it must be noted that she made her debut at the Bromberg City Theater when she was just 16 years old.

She subsequently moved to the Theater von Nurnberg in 1901 before finally making her way to the Raimund Theater in Vienna. She was recruited to the Deutsches Theater in Berlin in 1903 by Max Reinhardt. She stayed at the theater till 1932.
