Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur Junior, known popularly as Kwesi Arthur was born on 18th December,1994 in Tema, Ghana.

He is the first child of his parents and has twin brothers and a sister. His father is Samuel Danso Arthur and his mother’s name is Vivian Danso.

Interestingly, one of his brothers is also a musician.  Kwesi Arthur attended Tema Secondary School which he completed in 2013. Unfortunately, he could not enrol in a tertiary institution due to financial constraints.

As a result of this, he started working in a studio called XLC studios in Tema Community 9.There, he learnt how to record and produce music.

 

His Career

He is a rapper and musician by profession. He began to develop love for rapping after he listened to “Thank Me Later” by Drake.

In 2015, he came out with a lead single known as “Grind Day”.

This was supported by a social movement known as GroundUp Chale. Afterwards, he came out with “Grind Day” remix and featured Sarkodie and Medikal in it.

The Grind day remix shot Kwesi Arthur into prominence and gained much public appeal after that record.
