Johanna Puff can be described as a German biathlete.  Johanna Puff was born on July 2, 2002, in Rosenheim and over the years, she has won several medals with German relay teams at the Junior World Championships.

The career of Johanna Puff started off when she made an appearance for the first time at the Youth Olympic Winter Games in 2020. Unfortunately, she could not win any medal as she placed fifth in the individual and fourth in the sprint. It must be noted that subsequently, Johanna Puff participated in the youth category at the Junior World Championships in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.

Unlike the Youth Olympic Winter Games in 2020, she won bronze in the relay even though she could not achieve a top ranking in the sprint. She also competed in the youth races of the Junior World Championships in Obertilliach. Johanna Puff switched from the youth to the junior level for the 2021/22 season and took part in the IBU Junior Cup. Johanna Puff was able to achieve top results right from the start.

She won a super sprint race in Martell and gold in the single mixed relay at the Junior European Championships. Subsequently, she got nominated for the Junior World Championships in Soldier Hollow, USA. Even though her performance was not the best, she managed to win the silver medal at the end of the competition.

She finished second in the overall ranking of the IBU Junior Cup. Johanna Puff qualified for the season opening of the IBU Cup in internal races in November 2022 but due to ill-health she could not compete. At the start of the 2023/24 season, she qualified for the IBU Cup in the internal elimination.

She made her debut in the international adult sector during the season’s opener in  Kontiolahti. For the first two races she placed sixth and ninth and she won her first race in the sprint in just her third individual start at the second IBU Cup in Idre. Johanna Puff was also nominated for the World Cup in Lenzerheide after Hanna Kebinger and Anna Weidel could not make it due to illness.
