Joachim Fuchsberger was known to have been born in Zuffenhausen. His parents are Wilhelm.Fuchsberger and Emma. Wilhelm. Wilhelm Fuchsberger was a typesetter and he served as a Linotype Representative for the Mergenthaaler typesetting machine factory in Berlin.

He had two younger brothers and with respect to education, Joachim Fuchsberger attended various elementary schools, secondary school and High School. It must be noted that Joachim Fuchsberger was a member of the Hitler Youth. Even though Joachim Fuchsberger was then a student in school, he was conscripted into the Reich Labour Services.

He never graduated but subsequently he trained to become a paratrooper at the jumper school om Wittstock.
Due to the judo background of Joachim Fuchsberger, he was appointed a hand-to-hand combat instructor after six months when he was just 16 years old.

Joachim Fuchsberger in 2003 suffered a minor stroke while on stage. He had already had three surgeries. On June 4, 2013, he suffered another stroke. It must be noted that Joachim Fuchsberger died on September 11, 2014.

He was 87 years old at the time of his death and he died in his home due to the stroke he suffered.
