Jirka Arndt can be described as a German athlete who was born on August 1 , 1973, in Wolgast. He is mostly focused on long-distance running. He relocated to the children’s and youth sports school in Potsdam as a teenager in 1987 from his hometown.
Jirka Arndt joined for SC Charlottenburg (SCC) in the 1990s but he later moved to SC Potsdam in 2003 .It must be noted that with respect to the 1998 German Championships, he placed third in the 5000 and 10,000 meter runs.
His performance improved as he placed second in the 5000-meter race two years later. Jirka Arndt was listed in the sports statistics as German champion of the year 2000. This was due to the fact that International Association of Athletics Federations stripped Dieter Baumann of the title as a result of a doping offence.
Jirka Arndt placed third in the 3000-meter run at the German Championships (Indoors) in both 1996 and 1998. He also placed second in 1999 and in 2002, he was the proud winner of the German team marathon championship at SCC Berlin.
Earlier in 1991, he placed sixth in the 5000 meters with respect to the European Junior Championships and he placed eighth at 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. This feat made him the second best runner from Europe.
