Jared Padalecki is an American actor who was born on July 19, 1982. Jared Padalecki was born in San Antonio, Texas and his parents are Gerald and Sherri Padalecki. His father hails from Poland whereas his mother is of German, Scottish, French, and English ancestry.
As an actor, Jared Padalecki is well-known for playing a role in the TV series Supernatural. His roles in the television series Gilmore Girls as well as the films New York Minute (2004), House of Wax (2005) as well as Friday the 13th (2009) shot him into fame.
It is interesting to note that Jared Padalecki was a candidate for the Presidential Scholars Program. He teamed up with Chris Cardenas to win the National Forensic League national championship in Duo Interpretation.
Jared Padalecki had intended to attend the University of Texas but he ignored that. He rather moved to Los Angeles County, California with the mindset of pursuing an acting career.
Jared Padalecki was the winner of Fox Broadcasting’s 1999 “Claim to Fame Contest” and after making an appearance at the Teen Choice Awards, he landed a role in A Little Inside(1999).
He played a role in the television series Gilmore Girls, Silent Witness, Close to Home, and the Disney Channel Original Movie A Ring of Endless Light. Other productions he has been involved in include 2003’s comedy Cheaper by the Dozen, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen comedy New York Minute(2004), Flight of the Phoenix, House of Wax(2005) and Cry Wolf.
Jared Padalecki played the lead role in 2008’s Christmas Cottage as Thomas Kinkade, alongside acclaimed actor Peter O’Toole.
Jared Padalecki got married to Genevieve Cortese on February 27, 2010, in Cortese’s hometown of Sun Valley, Idaho. They have three children.
